Examining the Role of Socio-cultural Factors in English Language Learning Strategies
Abstract
The primary aim of this research is to investigate the intricate relationship between sociocultural influences and the approaches utilised in the process of acquiring English as a second language. The influence of the sociocultural environment on language acquisition is a significant factor in shaping its eventual outcome. The present study utilises the fields of anthropology and education to examine the effects of sociocultural factors on the process of acquiring English language proficiency. The current investigation utilises a qualitative research methodology, encompassing an extensive enquiry that integrates the analysis of previous scholarly works, the conduct of interviews, and the observation of many social and cultural contexts. The results of this study offer valuable insights into identifiable patterns in the usage of tactics for acquiring proficiency in the English language. The patterns that are seen are influenced by socio-cultural factors, such as the use of language in daily social exchanges, the effects of familial influences, and the encounters within the community. The results of this study demonstrate clear patterns. The aforementioned findings contribute to our broader understanding of the significance of socio-cultural factors in the development of English language ability. There is a potential for the development of additional contextual and relevant instructional approaches in order to improve the effectiveness and inclusivity of language acquisition. These approaches exhibit the possibility for future advancement.
